We are thrilled to speak to the founder of Byron Bay Retailer, FORRM. Store - Peta is a mother and business owner, she has an eye for timeless pieces, and is passionate about conscious brands. Her talents evident through the considered brand mix that you'll find in-store with FORRM. Store ~ it's a seamless marrying of form and function. We take a virtual trip to the beautiful Byron Bay as Peta shares with us her must-dos in her hometown, and her own non-negotiable travel rituals.

Tell us Peta, who you are, what you do and why did you create FORRM Store?

First and foremost I am a mother to 3 beautiful children - my husband and I have a busy and spirited tribe, which fills our home with laughter and energy that I thrive off.

I was born and raised in Byron Bay and have watched it transform into the iconic beachside town it is today. After my last babe started primary school I was ready to jump back into the workforce and I've always had a dream of owning my own store. I felt the town at the time was missing a multi-label boutique that housed conscious and timeless brands. My aim was to create a space for locals and visitors to shop a variety of mindfully selected pieces all under one roof.

We are coming to Byron for some sun this winter, can you recommend:

The best place to stay:
Raes on Wategos to completely indulge. It's a stone throw away from the sand of Wategos dreamy beach. To top things off they make the best Lobster Sanga in town too!

Where do we get a good coffee and what’s your coffee order:
Wide Open Road - my go-to is the Batch Brew which is a black slow drip coffee. It's so light and refreshing but you still get the little kick!

Best brunch in town:
Fels Kitchen - The smoothies are a must, though, it's all delicious. Everything on the menu is wholesome and organic. You can even pick yourself up a detox and cleanser pack while you're at it!

We want to get active, where do we go to move?
Heat Pilates in the Industrial Estate is my ultimate & of course the good old lighty for some fresh air and incredible views.

A post-movement dip in the ocean, where is the best spot to jump into the salt water?
The Pass - it's my fave spot as it's always easy to get to park and has quick access to the water. The waves are never too big which I am a fan of too.

Must-try dinner:
Bang Bang - both the vibes and food are unreal. I find myself the first to be seated and the last to leave, it's just an overall good time. The pad seuw always draws me in.

Cocktail bar of choice:
The Loft for a chilli marg of course.

We love the brand mix available at FORRM Store, can you share with us some must-haves for a winter trip to Byron Bay?

A Marle jumper, Hyde and Stone trousers, Alias Mae boots, Brie Leon bag and top it off with our Porter Jewellery, it is both tough and waterproof so you can wear it when you have a dip without the fear it will tarnish. With this combo you're ready for a day in town that blends into nighttime fun!

What is your non-negotiable travel rituals? How do you sip you LAND Lemon Juice Powder?

I try to stick to my morning rituals when away, that way wherever the day/night takes me I have ticked things off that fuel me. I love an early rise which is followed by movement. Before leaving for my day I fill a big drink bottle with cold water, collagen and my LAND Lemon Juice to help kickstart my day and my digestion. It's so handy having the LAND lemon powder when travelling, as there’s never any mess and it can go with me anywhere with ease.
